Famille Hugel Riesling Grossi Laue 2011 |
A beautiful and clean wine with flowers, honey dew and gun flint. Medium body, bright acidity and flint undertones. Lots of aniseed, clove and burning-spice flavors here, too.
Green-tinged straw-gold. Spicy, peppery melon and fig aromas are complicated by rose water and orange oil. Then sweet and fleshy on the palate, showing excellent depth and an element of refinement to its fruit cocktail flavors.
A classic example of a beautiful , roasted peach and lime on the nose translate smoothly onto the palate. The touch of residual sugar is the perfect
balance to the mineral acidity and ripe apricot fruit, providing the wine with great precision and tension. There is a plump, fleshy charm here that is refreshing, likeable and long, finishing on a pleasing honeyed tone.
