Ermitage du Pic Saint Loup Tour de Pierres 2016 |
The nose is spicy (white pepper), minty, cocoa, red fruits. The palate is full-bodied, balanced, with notes of pepper and liquorice. The tannins are still tight, the length portends a bright future.
The Tour de Pierres 2016 vintage combines crispness and finesse, a fresh mouth on aromas of zan, citrus, spices and scrubland ... A really seductive cuvée, a singular style very controlled.
The first nose is chocalat, cocoa, blackcurrant, currant, prune; evolution, we find the spices, leather, zan, garrigue that are typical of this wine.
The palate is fresh and persistent. We find the aromatic notes of the nose such as leather, garrigue (laurel, rosemary), spicy, citrus (grapefruit).
A beautiful density with a lot of finesse portends a bright future.
At the Hermitage, more than a know-how, the profession of winegrower is an art of living and a state of mind. For the Ravaille brothers, producing wine is always looking for perfection.
At the Hermitage of Pic Saint Loup, the obsession is to produce a wine that is the expression of the terroir. The sine qua non for making a beautiful wine is respect for the grapes. That's why at the Ermitage du Pic Saint Loup the importance of the natural environment and its influence on the wines is paramount. The estate has been working naturally, biodynamically for several years now.
