Made from a careful selection of Nebbiolo grapes, this inimitable great wine expresses elegance and harmony, along with great potential on the palate, offering notes ranging from violets to balsam, accompanied by well-balanced tannins.
VARIETAL: Nebbiolo
VINEYARD: Located in Piedmont on hillside vineyard in Langhe's Barolo area- Specifically in municipalities of la Morra, Serralunga, Monforte and Barolo.
VINIFICATION: Manual harvest, de-stemmed, crushed. Frequent rack and returns to extract maximum tannins needed to provide longevity and structure.
AGING: Aged for at least 3 years, including 2 in large oak barrels and one in bottle.
Garnet red with orange highlights.
Intense, elegant nose with tertiary and spicy notes of liquorice, tobacco and vanilla.
An austere, robust wine with excellent tannic structure and a noble, velvety mouthfeel.
