This incredibly balanced Chardonnay is somewhat of an enigma. Having been harvested with a range of brix levels, they strive to capture both the mineral and tropical expressions of the grape. While having a sun-lit, golden richness this wine is made is whole with freshness and brightness that keep you coming back for more.
The wine is 100% barrel fermented and malolactic fermentation is blocked to keep the purity of fruit flavors in the forefront. Eleven months of aging in 50% new French oak barrels help to build the wines textured mouthfeel. Opening with aromas of Meyer lemon, grapefruit zest, ginger and coastal rainfall, the nose is complex and beautiful. A viscous midpalate is framed by refreshing acidity and bolstered with pineapple and Asian pear flavors with a long, persistent finish. Drink now or hold through 2030 for a mind-blowing Chardonnay experience.
