IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS

Lively with a dried tropical fruit nose with aromas of caramel, butterscotch and molasses. A vibrant spicy entry leads to an evolving palate of fruit, caramel and toasted coconut, fading to a vanilla-tinted glow.

Demerara County, Guyana, has been steeped in the history of sugar and rum production since the 17th century. A hundred years later over 300 sugar estates had their own distillery producing their own signature rums. Through the centuries these estates and distilleries have been amalgamated, but these important marques and the original stills were preserved. Today, Demerara Distillers operates the last remaining distillery in Guyana at Plantation Diamond on the East bank of the Demerara River. Here they have consolidated all the old original stills, marques and traditional skills which make Demerara Rum so distinctive. With its 9 different stills, no other rum distillery in the world offers such a variety and range of over twenty different styles of rum.

This remarkably developed and complex medium-aged rum has a distinctive delicate taste and is aged for a minimum of 5 years in bourbon oak barrels. Its unique character comes from the skillful blending of traditional aged rums from the Uitvlugt Savalle Still and the Enmore wooden Coffey Still. Exceptionally versatile, it can be enjoyed straight, on the rocks or for creating premium cocktails.

Great service

That El Dorado rum is real good. I tried the 8 yr. and 5 yr. My shipmate from from my ship's reunion USS Iowa told me about it and I couldn't find it no where in NYC. I searched on line and you came up. Good service and well packed.
