Due Torri Grave Merlot derives its character from the rocky, hilly vineyards, which yield lower quantities but higher quality grapes. The wine reaches its peak in two to three years from the vintage. A fruity bouquet with hints of raspberries meets a full, dry taste and clean, pleasant finish.
Due Torri Merlot is medium in body, with a pleasant, dry finish. The Merlot grape of France was introduced to Italy in 1880, but has had great success in the rocky hillside vineyards of Grave del Friuli. Supple aromas of raspberries are supported by herbaceous notes on the palate.
