100% Nero d’Avola in purity, Passo delle Mule is made from grapes from the Tenuta Suor Marchesa, inland from the coast of southern Sicily. Here soil, climate and altitude provide a perfect mix for the production of this enveloping wine, which offers softness combined with remarkable freshness on the palate.
Passo delle Mule from Duca di Salaparuta is a red wine made from 100% Nero d'avola grapes. The grapes are harvested by hand the second part of September and are then vinified and fermented according to the classic method for 8 days at 28-30 ° C. The wine is then transferred into oak casks where it's stored for 10 months. The finalized wine is bottled and stored further 6-8 months before sale.
