Dow's Porto Fine White

Dow’s Fine White ages mainly in wood, gaining a rich golden color and anintense rich nutty aromatic complexity. A certain amount of wine is not woodagedand is blended in to add freshness and fruit character. On the palate,balanced and smooth, with excellent acidity and a long finish.Serve chilled to enhance the crisp fruit flavors. Equally delicious served asan aperitif or with light desserts. Dow's Fine White is made from selected white grapes (principally Malvasia Fina and Gouveio – better known as Verdelho). The wine is fermented at cool temperatures to retain the natural character of the fruit. It mostly ages in wood, taking on a golden color and a rich, nutty complexity. Serve chilled as an aperitif accompanied by a bowl of salted almonds.Dow’s Fine White is made primarily at ourQuinta do Sol winery. Only traditional whitegrape varieties from the Douro valley areused.Dow’s Fine White was 100% fermented off theskins and using temperature control so thatfermentation takes place between 18-22ºc.Aged for an average of three years it is bottledwhen ready to drink and requires no furtherageing.
