This was an excellent bottle of 1er cry Burgundy - body, balance, aroma, complexity, red fruit - all comme il faut. NSG stoniness nicely integrated. Not too soon to open, but no rush, either.
Cherry nose with earthy undertones, a hint of raspberry, and toasty cedar out of the bottle. After decanting for 40mins, fruit dissipated and a flavors of vanilla, tobacco, and cedar emerged. This wine was delicate, well-balanced and cohesive from beginning to end of each drink.
