The name of this famous wine comes from Svevi or Suavi, one of the peoples who attempted to conquer Italy in the Middle Ages. Some hold that Dante gave this city near Verona the name Soave for the excellence of its wine. It's a lovely wine, very drinkable with a nice light seafood & pasta as we hunker down in isolation. Too expensive to swill....it deserves more respect, but don't we all?

This is flat, thin Soave even at the low price. Already over-the-hill color and metallic palate. Why sell this?
