DESCRIPTION

The Kimmeridgian (limestone-rich) soils that run through Chablis give the wines their characteristic minerality, which can also be described as gunflint, chalk and, in the wines of Vocoret & Fils, the taste of a wet stone. The grapes were grown on chalky hillsides of Kimmeridgian limestone mixed with Portlandian clay. This wine captures the typical Chablis character with steely minerality, focused citrus expression and firm acidity.
ORIGIN
From one of the northernmost wine-growing areas in the world, where a combination of cool weather, limestone soils produce one of the world's most iconic wine-styles. Vocoret sources grapes from the entire appellation for their Chablis.

TASTE
Steel and mineral aromas with citrus fruits, limestone, slate and a crisp, stony fruits, grapefruit and lemons.
