Domaine Vico Vin de Corse Rouge 2019 (Case Only)

This small production Corsican red is dark and full bodied with licorice and blackberries on the palate ending with powdery minerals and balanced tannins.

This wine, a blend of 70% Niellucciu, 20% Sciaccarellu and 10% Syrah, is vinified in cement-lined tanks and undergoes a 30 days maceration. It is aged on its lees for 12-18 months in cement vats and bottled after a light filtration. The wine has deep red fruit aromas and flavors that are nicely balanced by its mineral and earthy tones—the so-called Corsican maquie or garrigue that combines rosemary, mint, thyme, basil and oregano. Because of this profile it is perfectly matched with grilled lamb.
