Domaine Patrick Baudouin Savennieres 2015

Very fruity on the nose with a slight wet wool note.  Fleshy, stone fruit and a teensy bit of grapefruit coming in at the end. Very strong notes of pear and quince on the nose.  Dry on the palate (fermentation finished) with a very aromatic tropical note.  

Straw colour. Bruised apple, tropical fruits, minerals, smoke, herbal. Slightly saline on the finish. Intense but lacking a touch of acidity. 

Ripe and intense bouquet of orchard fruits. Elegant, intense, finessed and creamy textured, however, it is also racy with power, grip and tension. The finish is very persistent and well defined. The 2014 is a pleasure to drink today, but will be very rewarding for those with patience.
