Domaine Parent Pommard La Croix Blanche 2016

The 2016, a full-bodied wine — it is Pommard, has amazing refinement.  Fine tannins lend a luxurious feel to it.  Though robust, it’s not heavy.  Indeed, it has an invigorating lift in the finish.  This is a premier cru masquerading as a village wine.

The 2016 Pommard Village la Croix Blanche was 100% destemmed with 30% new French oak. It has a tightly-wound but detailed bouquet with black cherries, bilberry and subtle crushed stone aromas. The palate is well balanced with smooth tannin, an equal mix of red and black fruit and a touch of blood orange on the fresh finish. This is a very satisfying village cru.
