IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS
The 2015 Pommard Village la Croix Blanches contains 30% whole cluster and 30% new French oak. It has a lovely black cherry and bergamot-scented bouquet with fine delineation and neatly sutured new French oak. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent ripe tannins, good depth in the mouth with hints of iodine and blood orange towards the satisfying finish. This is very fine for a village cru and it should age nicely over the next decade. Drink 2018-2028
It is marvelous, with a tension between fruitiness and savory minerality. Suave tannins almost hide its power. It’s a great choice for the cellar.
