Domaine Labruyere Moulin-A-Vent le Clos Monopole 2017 |
This wine was produced from a single vineyard that's a monopole, guided since 2008 by Édouard Labruyère. Blackberry fruits and a firm structure come together with ripe flavors, showing the rich tannins and aging potential of this appellation.
Beautiful, dark ruby red in color with purple reflections. Fine and elegant nose with delicate, fresh notes of blackberry and black cherry with a hint of spice. Powerful and ample on the palate with spicy notes (pepper, licorice), slightly roasted and black fruit flavors (black cherry.) Rich tannins, spicy and mouth-watering persistent finish.
An elegant Gamay, with a focused, minerally undertone flanking the raspberry and currant flavors, interwoven with smoke, espresso and herb details. Hints of cola, spice and black tea linger into the brooding finish.
