Domaine Humbert Freres Charmes-Chambertin 2019

This wine has a beautiful and extremely expressive nose - not particular complex but loads of blackcurrant and violets with present but very well-integrated oak. Appears more as Syrah from Northern Rhone than Burgundy.

On the palate not as impressive yet as the oak still needs to settle and secondary notes to develop. But still a very intense and well-balanced wine that should develop into a brilliant wine worthy of the Grand Cru label.

Pair it well with beef, veal, game, poultry.
