DESCRIPTION

A more reserved nose presents an aromatic profile that is comprised by notes of red currant, pomegranate and discreet nuances of earth and spice. The palate impression of the slightly bigger-bodied flavors is also quite sleek though the punchy, very firm and well-delineated finish is not particularly complex and there is a touch of dryness.

"Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru is aged in oak casks for between 16 and 20 months (between 60 and 100% new oak depending on the vintage). Bottled with no fining and no filtering. Made with 100% Pinot Noir and a match for red meats, game and cheeses."
