Quite a rich wine for Beaune, thanks to the southerly exposure of this site. Lovely, sweet cherries come through with aeration. The generous tannins are already very nicely integrated, the finish fresh and mineral.
This wine still shows bold tannins although its fruit suggests that plenty of richness will come. Its ripeness and strawberry fruitiness already hint at a powerful, delicious and full wine.
Though generous, this is also lively and solid, with cherry, currant, spice and herbal flavors riding a vibrant structure. Dense tannins suggest that this needs time.
