Domaine du Castel Blanc du Castel C 2017

Fermented and matured in French oak barrels, this Jerusalem Chardonnay has a rich nose of candied pear, white peach and buttery vanilla. Ripe juicy fruits and vanilla brioche dominates the palate with a rich texture. The finish is nutty and lingering.

Domaine du Castel Winery was founded in 1988 in the Judean Hills near Jerusalem. Eli ben Zaken founded it as an estate winery, and his wines have become world famous. This wine is 100% Chardonnay. Domaine du Castel is an Estate West of Jerusalem at an altitude of 2400 feet. The vineyards are planted at a density of 6700 vines per hectare and produce very small yields. The grapes were handpicked and the must was barrel fermented and aged 12 months on its lees in French oak.
