Domaine des Perdrix Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Perdrix 2015 |
A creamy texture buoys the violet, black currant, black cherry and spice flavors effortlessly, while iron and earth tones reinforce the dense tannins. It’s all there, just needs time to find its equilibrium. Fine, lingering aftertaste.
The 2015 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Perdrix reveals a ripe and seductive bouquet of cherry, rose petal and a lavish application of creamy new oak. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, fine-grained and ample, with juicy acids and a long, dramatic finish. This doesn’t have the depth or dimension of the Les 8 Ouvrees bottling, but it’s a very nice example in its extravagant style.
Richly dense, this is a well-structured and rich wine. Its tannins are a part of the opulent black fruits, ripe acidity and wonderful juicy fruitiness. A dark core of tannins will allow the wine to age so well.
