Food pairing
The place called "Les Grèves" refers to gravelly soils and can be considered as a derivative of "serious", kinds of friable rocks, fine scree associated with clays favorable to the cultivation of the vine. This fairly large Cru (about 20 hectares), located in the heart of the hillside, is considered the best 1er Cru de Beaune.
Domaine de Montille is known for producing wines of great aromatic purity, always favoring balance and elegance rather than power or extraction. The wines are a classic expression of Burgundy, produced as naturally as possible and having an impressive capacity of guard because we think that only the time reveals the Great Wines. The current style of the estate remains faithful to the naturalness and classicism recognized in Hubert's wines, some of whose vintages demanded a lot of patience, but Etienne strives to bring more openness into the bouquet in the reds, and more silky and smoothness in the textures without compromising the aging capacity of the wines. The domain is known with some others in Burgundy (Arlot, DRC, Dujac, Leroy, etc. ..
