Domaine de la Motte Brouilly 2014 |
Bright ruby color wine with a natural fruity red berries nose. A crunchy wine!Drink it slightly chilled (13°-15°) with chicken or beefsteak with fries. A cuvée with an intense ruby color that develops elegant aromas of small red fruits. A fresh and delicate wine, to which very soft tannins give a lot of roundness and body.
At the foot of Mont Brouilly, in Saint-Léger, the Charrion family has owned for nearly a century a domain on several appellations in the Beaujolais crus. Its vineyards classified Brouilly on 3 hectares are located on very poor granite soils.
Laurent Charrion and his wife Christine are dynamic and innovative winemakers who combine a viticulture that respects their terroir: shredding vines to bring humus, with modern winemaking techniques. They were among the first winemakers in the region to use stainless steel tanks with temperature control, favoring the extraction of color and tannins, and a pneumatic press allowing a smooth extraction of the fruity aromas of the grapes.
