Domaine de la Cornasse Chablis 2018

Golden yellow, pale green in colour. Bright and luminous. The nose is young and fresh with a vivacity of fruity, floral scents. The wine tastes fruity and lively, with lemon and citronella flavours on a fine and mineral background. The finish leaves the mouth fresh and perfumed.

Domaine de la Cornasse is led by Nathalie Geoffroy. Established in 1850 her family winery is regarded locally as one of the classic Chablisenne producers. They make Bourgogne Blanc, Chablis, Premier Cru and Grand Cru Chablis wines at their winery in the village of Beines and the appellation of Chablis. Their vineyards rest on Kimmeridgian soil--the ancient bed of of the Atlantic Ocean that is now clay/limestone with a heavy, nutrient blessed, mixture of fossilized oysters, fish skeletons and other sea life.
