Domaine de la Chanteleuserie, or "The Place that the Larks Sing,"is imported by Kermit Lynch. This tiny property is run by seventh generation vignerons Thierry and Christine Boucard. "Cuvee Alouettes" is produced from old vine Cabernet Franc grown in sandy-clay, limestone soils.
Wonderfully dusty, with juicy fresh strawberry and cranberry flavors, hints of chalk, cocoa and bell pepper, this medium-bodied, character-filled red is a perfectly delicious representation of the region.
