Domaine de Bellene Beaune Pertuisots 2011

This vineyard was planted in 1963, this is not a wine for the faint hearted, the palate is massively powerful, a dense Beaune, packed with fragrant fruit, whilst powerful it managed to be round and voluptous at the same time.

This offers a step up in aromatic elegance with very pretty red currant, rose petal and raspberry aromas that precede finer, and somewhat purer, middle weight flavors that are given shape by the firm but phenolically ripe tannins on the solidly deep, long and satisfying finish. Worth a look.
