A wine of rugged, Mediterranean terrain, this blend boasts an incredibly deep nose giving off notes of pinecone, roasted herbs, and bright red cranberries. Moving to the palate you’ll find rigid yet charming tannins underlying flavors of rhubarb, red currant, and rosemary. A wine of heft yet with ample balance, ‘Lou Maset’ wants to be served with meat–try it with Beef Brisket Braised in Red Wine.

The Lou Maset, a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Alicante Bouschet, and Carignan, balances this intense fruit with silky tannins. Dark cherry, garrigue herbs and spices offer a compelling aromas. It can pair well with grilled meats and hard cheeses.
