From a terroir of marine fossil–infused limestone and wild aromatic herbs like thyme and rosemary, this unique red offers finesse, freshness and delicious sweetness of fruit.
From a unique site planted on a mix of limestone and basalt, the 2016 Montpeyroux les Cocalières is a blend of 40% Syrah and 30% each Grenache and Mourvèdre. It's forward and floral, offering up effusive notes of rose petals and red fruit. Medium to full-bodied and supple in the mouth, it's very different in style from the regular Montpeyroux bottling, yet it's substantially similar in overall quality.
