There is a beautiful complexity in this wine. Purple color, fresh and delicate aromatics of cherry, blueberry, spices and flowers. The structure has a lightness and brightness in it. Well defined by good tannins and harmonious acidity this wine has a pleasant freshness and intriguing character.

Dolcetto d’Alba is the everyday wine usually combined with the typical Piedmontese antipasti.

Not what I ordered

I searched high and low specifically to find the 2019, and when I did, I ordered a case. I love that vintage, and it's hard to find. What I was shipped was different - a case of the 2022. When I requested a return, frustrated that I waited so long only to not get a whole case of what I didn't want, I was (quite curtly) told Wine Chateau can change the vintage on anything they want and that is not grounds for a return. I find this appalling and will never be ordering from them again.
