Deloach Vineyards Zinfandel Russian River Valley 2015

The 2015 Russian River Zinfandel open with enticing aromas of violet and ripe blackberry. Lively fruits notes of boysenberry and black cherry are accented with caramel and cocoa notes finished with a hint of nutmeg. This rich, luscious wine has medium body and well-balanced acidity and is a true expression of Russian River terrior.

Spiced berries and cinnamon-cedar greet the nose as cherries, rooibos tea spices, and rhubarb accentuate white pepper, nutmeg, and high-toned berries. Aged 15 months in French and Hungarian barrels. The grapes for this wine come primarily from younger vine vineyards in the northern portions of the Russian River Valley. There is also a small amount of old vine vineyards in the blend. The wine is made in a style that highlights the distinctive characteristics and unique flavor profiles famous to this region.
