Striking dark fruit aromas and enticing notes of mocha on the nose. Gratifying flavors of black cherry, cedar and tobacco. A small portion of the wine was aged in seasoned American oak barrels to impart a light oak characteristic while allowing the wine to stay true to its varietal character and retain its approachable, fruit-forward style. Prior to bottling, the Merlot was blended with a small quantity of other Bordeaux varietals for added depth and complexity.
Offers opulent flavors of black cherry, blackberry, and dusty chocolate all underlined by toasty vanilla oak. The wine’s soft, lush, texture and smooth tannins make this Merlot a wonderful wine to enjoy right now with a variety of culinary delights.
