Dagueneau Jardins de Babylone [Jurancon] [Moelleux] VdF 2018

The sweet Jurançon from the Dagueneau estate is produced exclusively from Petit Manseng, the noblest grape variety of the appellation. Its absolutely delightful nose offers a complexity of aromas that would make many Sauternes pale in comparison.

This 2018 presents a magnificent bouquet of clementine marmalade, quince, yellow flowers, saffron and beeswax. With aeration, the wine gains considerably in aromatic density and confirms its stature as a great cuvée. On the palate, the acidity is accompanied by a divinely integrated residual sugar, just present to bring the royal sweetness of the grape variety. The material is placed on a very fresh and catchy limestone frame, extremely invigorating.
