This direct-press blend of 50% Grenache, 20% Cinsault, 20% Syrah, and 10% Tibourenc hails from the coastal slopes near Cannes. The Rouët estate's winemaking history includes slaking the thirst of King Louis XVI and his court, and the estate has been held by one family since the revolution.
Typically Provençal aromas of strawberry, blackberry, wild herbs, and grapefruit rind lead to a refreshing palate with zesty acidity and sea minerals. Delightful with coastal fare - especially fried clams or grilled shrimp - or herbed, garlicky fish or vegetable dishes.
