The Clos de Chapeau wine from Domaine de l'Arlot elegantly defends the Côte de Nuits Villages appellation. It has a serene ambition: to express the finesse of Pinot Noir. Developing a fiery nose that ventilates notes of morello cherries and fruit stones, often drifting towards cloves, sandalwood and sometimes cocoa.
Alert and agile, the wine brings out softness and elegance asserting itself through a substance of red fruit flavors with touches of pepper and notes of vanilla. Its character allows it to be enjoyed quite young, "on the fruit", but can improve with age, up to around 10 years.
