Comte Jean Marechal Sauvignon Blanc le Petit Comte 2017 |
This is a quintessential expression of Sauvignon Blanc from Sancere. The nose is highly perfumed and intense, with classic notes of cut grass, limes and the tell-tell hint of flint. The palate is more restrained than the nose would initially indicate and all the better for that with a lovely fresh, balanced and clean character. The flavors are citrus fruits wrapped around a very precise and elegant structure. A long finish completes this delicious wine.
Pale lemon in color with a golden hue. Nice nose of white flowers, lemons, tropical fruits, gooseberry, pineapples, minerals, spices, green apples, grapefruits and bitter herbs. Medium bodied with medium plus acidity, crisp and refreshing. Dry on the palate with grapefruits, citrus, limes, bitter herbs, spices, green apples, minerals, sea salt and white pepper. Medium finish with bitter almonds. This French Sauvignon Blanc is drinking very nicely by itself or with food. Showing mild complexity and nice balance.
