Coffele Valpolicella DOC 2019 |
COFFELE is a historical family-run winery in the medieval town of Soave since 1928. Siblings Alberto and Chiara, with the help of their parents Giovanna Visco and Giuseppe Coffele from whom they inherited their passion for the land and the vines, run the winery situated a few steps away from the ancient castle of Soave.
Certified biodynamic for over a decade their immaculate hand-harvested fruit is a testament to their dedication and intense farming practices. For the Valpolicella, the fruit comes from their vineyards in the hills of Cazzano di Tramigna, just outside of Soave. A portion of the grapes are left to dry for about 20 days to increase the wine's intensity. Fermentation occurs over 2 weeks with 8 days maceration on the skins. It spends 4 months in stainless steel resulting in a bright immensely drinkable Valpolicella with a depth of fruit.
