"Clos de Leon" 1er Cru Brut, Marc Hebrart 2015

The premier cru Mareuil-sur-Aÿ carries with it the prestige of conceiving some of the most impressive and lively wines in Champagne, such as Clos des Goisses from Philipponnat, and it is in its steep hills that Jean-Paul Hébrart presents us with an intimate version of the region, by conceiving creamy champagnes, rich in fruit, but steeped in the solid pungency of local minerality and race. 

It is very likely that the dynamic and generous style of this wonderful producer will strike a chord with everyone, regardless of their level of experience with terroir champagnes.
