Clementin du Pape Clement

his is a powerful second wine of Pape Clément with a dense and deep palate of dark berries, chocolate and walnuts, as well as stone and minerals. Full body, yet compact and chewy with a polished and intense tannin backbone. With the addition of Le Sartre in this second wine, it is now its own wine.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the  Clémentin de Pape Clement offers seductive scents of warm black plums, blackcurrant cordial and Black Forest cake with hints of mocha, Indian spices and violets. Full-bodied, rich and velvety textured, it fills the mouth with black fruit preserves and plenty of freshness, finishing long and perfumed. 

The  Clémentin de Pape Clément is gorgeous. Gravel, smoke, tobacco, licorice, dark red cherry and menthol infuse this striking, layered second wine from Pape Clément. Aromatically expressive yet also quite dense and layered, the 2018 has plenty to recommend it, especially once the tannins settle down a bit. The blend is 50% Merlot, 49% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Petit Verdot.
