Fresh. Showing Talbot medicinal Cabernet, cool and supple blackcurrant, then firming noticeably, but still fresh, still crisp on the finish.
Connetable de Talbot is an attractive, open-knit Saint-Julien to drink now and over the next few years, while the red stone fruit and floral notes remain fresh. Silky tannins add to the wine's considerable near-term appeal. This is a very nice second wine.
