Chateau Poujeaux

Deep, dark, ruby-red color is not quite opaque, but has purple hues at the rim. The nose is very closed in on itself. The palate has mulberry fruit overlaid by earthiness & meaty hints. The palate is of mid-weight & is structured. A rich core of black-fruit is dominated by graphite character.

There is a lovely juicy acidity on the finish, where there is a little blackberry/loganberry fruit, however the fruit on the finish is rather closed, leaving the structure to support it.
