"Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois annual tasting, the 2015 Chateau Poitevin has a delightful, perfumed bouquet with black cherries, blueberry and a touch of incense. The oak here is nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, very pure and feminine with a caressing, blueberry and cassis-tinged finish. Bon vin! This is by far and away the best wine that I have tasted from this Médoc estate. Tasted September 2017."
Vinous 91 points - The 2015 Poitevin is a blend of 55% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot. It has a vivid bright bouquet with blackberry, graphite and cedar aromas, great vigor here, very focused. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a fine bead of acidity, very harmonious with a poised and elegant finish that is top-grade. Excellent. Tasted at the Oenoconseil tasting room in Bordeaux..March/2018
James Suckling 90 points - Fresh blackcurrant and savory aromas make this attractive, but there’s also a hint of something vegetal. Good length but quite sleek and a bit tart on the finish.February/2018
Jeb Dunnuck 91 points - The 2015 Chateau Poitevin is a beauty made from the Poitevin Family’s estate located far up in the northern part of the Medoc. It offers lots of plum and black cherry fruits, notes of tobacco leaf, medium body, and a plump, layered, pure style. Drink it over the coming decade..November/2017
The Chateau POITEVIN shows complexity and silky tanins. This cru bourgeois represents the style and identity of our family winery int the heart of Medoc terroir.

Good wine/Silly shipping
The wine for my cellar was perfect for everyday Bordeaux. However, shipping wine upside down is a very bad idea. Even young wine gets disturbed....having wine get shaken up like that and then have to be turned over is awful. It takes several days after being stood up straight before it is sound. Corks take many weeks to dry out. Ship it properly, please
