Chateau Phelan Segur

Darkly pigmented, medium to deep ruby red color, with quite a vivid purple rim. Aromas are of restrained, ripe fruit with coffee & graphite notes. The palate is concentrated with both red & dark plum, dark licorice, raisined notes & then graphite.

The tannic structure is fine & firm. Alcohol is perfectly balanced, the wine's length is good & the black plum & graphite on the finish lasts very well. The wine is very fine, very elegant & quite restrained.
