IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS
Chateau Musar Red 1983
A wine with a dramatic history. this vintage was harvested one week later than normal time because Hochar was visiting the states to flee the war. In the end he was smuggled into the country on the 28th of September the day Syria invaded. They just finished harvest and couldn’t leave for 3 weeks. The 1983 is a deeper garnet, displaying confident secondary notes of ground coffee, and soy-soaked blackberries. Hochar, believes this vintage is just now ready to drink. Penetrating flavors of dried cherries, which maintain a sweet summertime quality, despite the wine’s age. The complex finish of minerals and a hint of mint goes on and on. Not Bordeaux, not Rhone, this is Lebanon and it is indeed unique.
