Chateau Les Tours Seguy Cotes de Bourg 2009

Dark garnet color. Subtle nose of savory leather, garrigue, tobacco, bark, forest floor with an underlying floral scent. Medium weight. Flavors of plums, liquorice, delicate herbal notes. Chalky to fine grain tannins. Silky finish, stunning depth for the price with a long finish.

The nose is of pungent green spice, almost overwhelming the blackberry undertones. There's a lot of black pepper as well. On the palate it's got a slightly thick mouthfeel, which is a nice change from most inexpensive Bordeauxs.
