DESCRIPTION
Las Cases sits against the Latour boundary at the northern end of Saint-Julien, and makes the most Pauillac-like wine in the commune. Inky ruby-purple, with toasty vanilla, lead pencil shavings and wet rock over intense black cherry and creme de cassis. Full bodied and layered, with fine-grained tannin and real concentration. Tightly coiled, and needs years.
