Chateau La Gaffeliere

The medium to deep purple-red color is not opaque. Aromas of red-fruits have a drying chalky edge & notes of coffee. The palate is also a little closed-up & drying at present.

There is some concentrated red-plum fruit on the palate, but it is overlaid by fine, gripping tannins. The alcohol is well in balance & fresh acidity lifts the fruit a little on the finish, however it still finishes a little short. The wine should open with age.
