This wine is very elegant and even a bit a-typical for Pauillac. Given blind, this could be mistaken for a St. Emilion. The vintage is characterized by CB blocked ripening resulting in greenish tones. Thankfully not to be found in this wine. Drink now until 2020!
Appearance: Deep dark inky red and purple
Nose: Very nice in which cassis, blackberries and prune play lead role with infused licorice, vanilla, and pine.
Taste: Well integrated tannins and acidities. Soft and elegant with a med concentration and finish.
Bordeaux 2012 arrival wine tasting. Medium-dark ruby. Expressive nose of red and dark fruit with vanilla and a touch of earth and chocolate. On the palate, this is sweet and succulent for a Bordeaux but in a nice way, a bit oaky at the moment but this may integrate with age.
