This is better than the '02 and the '06, and it's drinking at absolute peak. Decanted about 2 hours prior to a meal of flank steak and mashed potatoes. Smooth and gentle, with an almost tart note of lavender or cassis. Hard to find any fault at all.
A plummy nosebleed into soft amazing ripe fruit that in its long length delivers a very slight smokiness... The finish just dissolves smoothly away... Beautiful wine!!
