Chateau Fourcas-Borie Listrac-Medoc 2012 |
Subtle and entrancing Bordeaux, and a delicious example of the top quality that the commune of Listrac can achieve. A spicy, bright, well-structured blend of 70% merlot with 15% each of cabernet sauvignon and petit verdot, with hints of vanilla and spice on the nose, and refined, clean-cut fruit on the palate.
This attractive wine has smoothed out the sometimes rough edges of Listrac and given a ripe, purple hue to the berry fruits. Showing much of the acidity of the vintage, it's about fruit and freshness.
Blend of predominantly Merlot with some Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep garnet in color. Nose of black cherry, black cherry, bay leaves, mushroom, eucalyptus. Medium plus acidity, medium plus tannins. Cherry and black cherry body. Dark plum, leather with a mouthfeel that is starting to mellow.
