Notes of lime curd and stone fruit. On the palate, nougat, pineapple and ripe peach combine to make an elegant harmonious wine. Harvested from multiple blocks on the Napoleone Vineyard, including older plantings of clones 76 and 95 and more recent plantings of P58 and Mendoza clones, this chardonnay was fermented naturally in French oak (35% new, all puncheons). Lees were stirred (battonage) regularly to build texture and complexity. We selected the best chardonnay parcels (seven barrels) to blend this elegant yet powerful, complex fruit-focused wine with great drive and tense acidity.
